In this hands-on class, you'll learn the foundational techniques of tubelining and floating wash with cobalt oxide underglaze to achieve a embossed effect, where design elements are separated by clay slip.
This technique, known as Fa Hua Cai (法華彩), was once lost to history but has since been revived.
All materials and drawing templates provided. Feel free to bring your own drawing or create from imagination on the day.
